Window-shopping online has become an essential part of the property-buying process - but the most popular homes aren't always the grandest.
Zoopla has released a list of its most-viewed properties over the last month - here, we take a look at the top ten.
1. Five-bedroom detached house in Carr View, South Kirkby, Pontefract
Price: £187,950
Everybody likes a bargain, and the most-viewed home for sale in Britain last month has had its price cut by £12,000. The five-bed house boasts a twenty-foot living room that looks out onto a landscaped garden, a master bedroom with ensuite bathroom and off-street parking for three cars.
2. Three-bedroom detached house in The Ferns, Bacup, Lancashire
Price: £125,000
This pretty three-bedder has been recently redecorated, and has a brand new kitchen, bathroom and carpets - as well as a new burglar alarm system and gas combi central heating boiler. It's in a good spot, close to the town centre, but also near open countryside, and has excellent transport links.
3. Four-bedroom detached house in Kelsey Lane, Scunthorpe
Price: £195,000
Situated in the popular village of Althorpe, this house has three reception rooms and a large kitchen-breakfast room; upstairs, two of the four bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms. There's a good-sized garden and garage.
4. Five-bedroom detached house in Bagley's Lane, Fulham, London
Price: £4,850,000
Despite its traditional appearance, this is in fact a new-build house that's been designed to blend in with its Victorian surroundings. It's got everything you'd expect from a nearly-five-million-pound home, from a media room to a wine cellar, along with a separate studio annex. 6. Six-bedroom detached house in Barnet Lane, Elstree, Borehamwood
Price: £4,500,000
The highlight of this house is its stone and glass staircase, which spans four floors and is lit by an enormous chandelier. Other features include an indoor leisure complex with swimming pool, jacuzzi, gymnasium, steam room and changing area.
7. Five-bedroom detached house in Templemead, Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire
Price: £2,000,000
Built only four years ago, this house boast five double bedrooms, with dining room, study, a large drawing room with doors opening to the rear garden and an open plan designer kitchen. There's also a huge room above the triple garage that could be converted into a self-contained flay, say the agents.

10. Three-bedroom terraced house in Market Street, Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire
Price: £20,000
You're a little too late for this one, which was auctioned late last week. Quite a contrast to number 9, this neglected home probably went to an investor or developer who wouldn't be put off by all the work it needs.
