A skydiver suffered a terrifying 30-minute ordeal in which he was left hanging from a plane after his jumpsuit got caught on the step upon exiting.

The man, named Fernando, was about to jump when his suit got caught.

After a nerve-jangling half an hour, he managed to cut the leg section off his suit with his hook knife.

He then deployed his reserve parachute and landed safely. His only injury was a minor cut to his hand that he got from his hook knife.

However, he looked a little pale and shocked as he was wrapped in a blanket at the end of the footage.

A man can also be seen showing the camera the part of the jumpsuit that had been cut off.

We first saw the video at the Daily Mail, but it was originally uploaded to YouTube by JoinTheTeem, and one user sympathised with the experience, writing: "In 1966 on my 3rd sport static line jump I was hung via a 15' static line for 20 minutes below a Cessna 175 at 3100'. The plane lost altitude down to 1000' before I managed to undo the entanglement."

Scary stuff.
