Driver in lucky escape as BMW plunges 20ft into sea in Devon
A driver has had a very lucky escape after his BMW Z3 convertible plunged 20ft off a coastal path into the sea on the Devon coast.
The car came off a stone wall forming part of the South West Coast Path, between the mainline railway and the sea at Sprey Point, near Teignmouth, reports the Mirror.
The car went over the path and into the sea just before 8am on Sunday.

The 37-year-old driver of the car managed to get out and walk around half a mile back into Teignmouth.
RNLI Teignmouth wrote on its website: "The local Coastguard requested the assistance of the lifeboat after a BMW 'Z' type car drove into the sea.
"The car driver walked away from the car and made their way to Teignmouth assisted by HM Coastguard."
Pictures released by RNLI Teignmouth show the car left lying upside down on the beach after the tide went out.
Devon and Cornwall Police said divers had confirmed the driver had been alone.
A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police told theBBC: "One man was inside the vehicle and exited it. He went into the sea with it and got out."
The car will be removed by Teignbridge District Council up a slipway.
