Free wills
October is Free Wills Month, which means that anyone aged over 55 can have a simple will written or updated free of charge. There are no hidden costs, because the wills are supported by a number of charities. However, you can expect to be asked whether you would like to leave anything to a charity in your will. There's no pressure to do so, but prepare to be asked. All you need to do is check the list of solicitors participating here, find one in your area, and book an appointment.
