Car thief attempts to avoid capture by driving into the sea

A two-hour police chase in Australia ended dramatically as an alleged car thief drove his car into the sea.

The chase, which initially took place around Perth, saw the thief attempting to flee capture by venturing onto a section of beach. But that's not before stopping to lower his tyre pressures in order to get better traction on the sand.

Once he gets going again, the driver soon sets off in the direction of the sea.
