Need a parking spot? App could bring an end to parking palaver

We've all been there: out in the car, desperately trying to find a parking space. And when you finally spot one, someone sneaks in ahead of you. But, thanks to a parking pioneer, those stressful scenarios could become something of the past.

Well, at least for motorists in Edinburgh. The pioneer in question wants to install sensors in thousands of spaces across the city, allowing drivers to identify a vacant parking space before they even leave their house.
