She initially became famous on the Nickelodeon programme, Victorious, but the pint-sized pop star has made a name for herself in the music industry as well, collaborating with artists including Nicki Minaj, Jessie J and rapper Big Sean.

Demi has been building up her fortune since she was a child, starring on popular shows including Barney and Friends. She carried on her showbiz lifestyle as the title role in popular Disney Channel programme, Sonny with a Chance. Like Ariana Grande, Lovato is now best known for her musical expertise, with a number of her tunes hitting the top 40.

Just like her pal Demi, Selena also got her start in show business on Barney and Friends before making a breakthrough on the Disney Channel's 'The Wizards of Waverly Place'.

There seems to be a Disney trend appearing here! Alongside his two famous brothers, Nick starred in the original Disney series Jonas LA as well as Disney Channel movies, Camp Rock and Camp Rock 2. It's thought that, like the girls, Jonas now makes the majority of his money from his lucrative singing career.

Probably best known for his part in the hugely successful Twilight films, Taylor Lautner started his career at the age of just 11, starring in a number of TV shows and films before taking one of the lead roles in the Twilight Saga.

The singing sensation spent time busking on the streets in England before he hit the big time. But now everything's changed because with fame comes fortune. Ed's most recent album 'X' debuted at number on in the UK album charts and sold a whopping 180,000 copies in its first week.

7. Jennifer Lawrence, 25 ($50 million)
She may only just scrape into the age category for this list, but we doubt she's worried about that, or anything considering her mammoth bank balance. Her leading role in the Hunger Games movie franchise no doubt has a significant part to play in her success, but Lawrence has been in a number of other big hits including Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle.

6. Emma Watson, 25 (£60 million)
The second Brit to hit the list also just happens to be one of Harry Potter's best friends. Emma Watson shot to fame in 2001 when she took on the role of Hermione Granger in the hugely successful Harry Potter films. Not only is Watson a talented actress but she has also been appointed a UN Women Goodwill Ambassador.

5. Kristen Stewart, 25 ($70 million)
Stewart has topped Forbe's highest paid actress list in the past, and still seems to be raking in a substantial amount of cash now. She's the second Twilight star to make the list, having starred in all the films in the lead role of Bella Swann. Stewart has also starred in Snow White and the Huntsman as well as this year's film, American Ultra.

4. One Direction, 21-23 ($150 million)
These four boys have come a long way since their humble beginnings on the X-Factor in the UK. Although they all originally auditioned as individuals, they were quickly put together into a group so successful even Simon Cowell must be shocked! The boys didn't win the show in 2010, coming in third place, but that hasn't stopped them on their way to international stardom.

The number three spot goes to another Disney original, Miley played the famous role of Hannah Montana on the channel for a number of years before breaking out on her own and making a name for herself in the music industry. The controversial performer grew up in the industry, her father Billy Ray Cyrus is a famous American singer-songwriter. Her 2013 Bangerz album sold 270,000 units in the first week and Cyrus grabbed her fifth number one album. The album's tour is also thought to have made Cyrus a fortune as she raked in around $70 million.

This popstar may have been initially discovered on YouTube but Justin has definitely out grown the internet and made a name for himself. Bieber was first discovered in 2007 and has continued on his astronomical rise to fame since then.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given her huge popularity the world over, Taylor Swift hits the top of this year's list. The Shake It Off star races ahead of Bieber with an extra $40 million to her name. The songstress rose to fame in her teens and since then has scooped seven Grammy Awards, 16 American Music Awards, one Emmy and 22 Billboard Music Awards among others. She has also been inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Association and the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Each of Swifts album has sold at least four million units, will her latest album, 1989, selling 5.1 million!
