So, sadly, this year's Road Test of the Year is drawing to a close. There's still one car left on the bill though - BMW's i8.

This sports car is brimming with the very latest technology, with a hybrid powertrain designed to be both ruthlessly efficient and effortlessly fast. It's certainly the oldest of the group, but does age bring motoring wisdom? Dave Brown explores further to see if the i8 really is as good as people say it is.
