The Volkswagen diesel scandal in the USA is showing precious few signs of slowing down and UK customers may be concerned that it's going to spread across the Atlantic.

This issue centres on an ingenious but illegal software fix that pushes the car's engine into a specific test mode when it detects test conditions to allow it to produce far lower levels of nitrogen oxide and nitrogen dioxide and pass the stringent Californian emissions limits.
