Our Road Test of the Year collection brings together more than £600,000-worth of metal for an epic four days of testing in north Wales, but with such an interesting mix who will be crowned champion? Every day this week, we'll be reviewing one of the cars that featured on our epic road trip. Today, James Baggott introduces the whole incredible lineup and tells you what cars to expect over the coming days.

I've been left behind. I'm waiting at the north Welsh B&B we call base for four days of Road Test of the Year goodness and I'm itching to get out like a four-year-old in Clarks. The rest of the team are long gone. By now they'll be in fifth gear, all loud revs, angry exhausts and smiles. But here I am sat twiddling my thumbs, waiting for the final piece of our jigsaw puzzle to arrive. And I'm clucking like an addict.
