Bob Geldof marries partner Jeanne Marine in the French Riviera

Sir Bob Geldof has married his long-term partner Jeanne Marine in an intimate ceremony in the South of France.

Bob's girls, Fifi, 32, and Pixi, 25, were at the event, which took place at a beachfront house near Nice.

The Daily Mail reports that the event is thought to be the official ceremony following reports in April that the couple had tied the knot in the resort of Rayol-Canadel-sur-Mer after 19 years together.

Longtime family friend, Sarah Ferguson, The Duchess of York, was spotted arriving with her boyfriend, Manuel Fernandez.

And there were a host of other star guests that watched the pair exchange vows, including Sir Richard Branson, screenwriter Richard Curtis, model Jerry Hall, actor Richard E Grant, and actress Demi Moore.

Friends say it's a wonderful occasion for Sir Bob, who tragically lost his daughter Peaches to a drugs overdose in April 2014.

A source told the Mirror: "It was a great party, and nobody enjoyed themselves more than Bob and Jeanne. It's lovely to see a smile back on Bob's face after such a tough couple of years."

The couple first met in 1996 at a dinner party shortly after Bob split from his first wife, Paula Yates.

Huge congrats to the happy couple.
