Investigation after historic tall ship sinks in Liverpool's Albert Dock
An investigation has been launched after a historic tall ship sunk in Liverpool's Albert Dock.
Merseyside Police said emergency services were called to the area on Saturday morning following reports of a "sunken vessel".
Fire crews used thermal cameras and lighting to search the water for people after sailing ship Zebu sunk, the BBC reports. There were no injuries.

Zebu was built in 1938 and has sailed 69,000 miles, visiting 41 countries.
It has been based at Albert Dock since 1988.

A fire service spokesman told the Liverpool Echo: "Firefighters were called after a boat sank in Albert Dock. Firefighters carried out a search of the inner dock using a thermal imaging camera and lighting but no-one was found in the water."
Once safety inspections have taken place, owner of the vessel, the Mersey Heritage Trust, hopes to raise Zebu from the water.
