Around 80 tourists, mostly British, were forced to leave their hotel apartment block of Las Arenas in Son Bou de Alaior because of fears that walls might collapse, reports the Mirror.

There are flood alerts in place across many parts of Spain, including Ibiza, all of the Balearics and Formentera.

Around 10 days ago, Ibiza already saw freak flooding, with holidaymakers even spotted floating through the streets of Ibiza Town on lilos, reports Mixmag.

The site also reports that a flurry of tornadoes hit the party island this week, causing damage to vehicles, houses, power lines, and trees.

There was also flooding this week, and the runway at Ibiza airport was stalled for two hours due to the bad weather.

Spain isn't the only place experience freak weather for this time of year - UK weather experts are warning that a 'polar plume' will see temperatures in northern England and Scotland drop to 0C overnight on Saturday, and that even snow could be possible on high ground.
