The New Avengers' Jaguar found in barn

Fans of the cult spy fantasy adventure series The New Avengers may be pleased to see that the Jaguar XJ12-C used in the programme has been found, albeit in a bit of a sorry state.

The show - starring Patrick Macnee as John Steed, Joanna Lumley as Purdey and Gareth Hunt as Gambit - originally aired on ITV for two series in 1976 and 1977, and was a sequel to the series The Avengers, which also starred the suave, bowler hatted Macnee and Steed. This ran for six series between 1961 and 1969.
