Bartender wins $1 million with $20 he found on the street
What would you do if you found a £20 note on the street? Whatever your answer is, it's pretty unlikely you'd expect to make £1 million out of it.
But, that's exactly what happened to one very lucky Californian bartender.
Hubert Tang won the California state lottery's million dollar jackpot after buying a ticket with a $20 bill he found on the ground outside San Francisco International Airport.
He says that when he won he wasn't even sure if it was really happening. Tang says most of the money will go towards his savings but his mother might be in luck too.
"Mom can definitely look forward to a new car or something!" said Hubert.
The fortunate bartender is looking forward to celebrating and has also considered passing his luck along by leaving random $20 bills on the street for others to find.
It seems Hubert isn't the only one to happen upon a jackpot recently either. A couple from New Haven dashed out for ice cream one evening and came back with a lot more than dessert.
Melissa and Joe bought a lottery ticket at the same time and ended up scooping the £30,000 jackpot!
