His mum Sherry Chute told Dispatch: "He was just looking at the gorillas and we said to him 'Isaiah what do the gorillas do?' and he started pounding his chest."

Isaiah caught the attention of gorilla Kamoli, also two, and the pair played for five minutes.

Sherry added: "Isaiah is just like that. Anyone who knows him knows that he's super playful."

The zoo shared the adorable video on Facebook. It has been shared almost 5,500 times.

In 2013, a cute video of a toddler in a tiger suit playing with a tiger cub at a zoo became an internet hit.

Marshall Shaffer stood in front of six-month-old Kali's zoo enclosure in his costume onesie, and the animal seemed entranced, chasing him up and down the screen.

The footage, which received millions of views on YouTube, was filmed by his mother at Point Defiance Zoo in Tacoma, US.

Marshall is heard giggling away as the cub chases him up and down and playfully paws at the glass pane.
