They say dogs are man's best friend and now it's even easier to share quality time with your pooch thanks to one brewery in Indiana.

Flat 12 Bierwerks in Indiana must be the world's most dog-friendly office, especially given that every employee has a furry friend.

This led the workers are the brewery to come up with a ingenious new idea - a beer for dogs! Yes, it's true!

The brew for dogs is made from meat bone trimmings, potatoes, brewer's yeast and carrots.

It's made exactly like a human beer but with the canine ingredients. Don't worry though - this is a totally safe treat for dogs, with no alcohol and no fizz either. The stock is left to simmer for three hours before it's all put in a keg.

The unusual beer made its debut last week at the brewery's pet adoption and supply drive. A pint of the tasty brew cost just a dollar and the proceeds all went to local animal shelters.

We're wondering if they'll be debuting it in British pubs anytime soon?
