Could this £895,000 structure be Britain's most expensive shed?

It may not look like much but this dilapidated, wood panelled hut is sitting on 2.1 acres of top price real estate.

The property is currently being advertised as a '6 bedroom detached house' on Rightmove, which may sound bizarre given what the shed looks like but the plot has planning permission for a 'stunning architecturally significant 6 bedroom new build' which has been designed by Sir Terry Farrell.

The 77-year-old architect has designed some of the best known buildings in London, including the MI6 building and Charing Cross station as well as Brindley Place in Birmingham and the Beijing South Railway Station in China.

The property can be found in the Goudhurst, Kent and is said to boast ' the finest views in Goudhurst looking down the Tiese valley'.

Despite it's promising development opportunities the plot is yet to be snapped up having been listed on Rightmove since July.

The site claims that it's incredibly rare for building consent to be granted for such a building and the planning has taken four years.

According to the Mirror, if the eventual buyer builds the house they will see the value of the property increase by around £2.5 million.

It's not the first time an unusual plot of land has been given an eye-wateringly expensive price tag.

In July this year a 20 metre square plot of land was sold at auction for a whopping £1.26 million. The plot is in the popular Primrose Hill area of north London and was originally given a guide prices of £100,000 - 150,000.
