Bear gets his head stuck in cat flap (funny picture)

A cheeky bear got his head stuck in a man's cat flap after trying to break in to his Idaho home.

Doug Harder said it wasn't the first time the bear had coming looking for food. He returned from his summer holiday to find bears had broken through a second floor door, eaten his food and defecated on his carpet.

He closed the door to keep the bears out but he later found this guy poking his head through the cat flap.

Watch: Bears can't fly, can they?

Writing on his Facebook page, Doug said: "Got home last Wednesday night to a mess, a bear pushed open the sliding glass door I had open while I was gone a few days, even a wood block in the door jam keeping it only open about 8 inches. He came back Thursday morning on the deck, after I closed and locked the sliding door the night before. The door is fine...IT COULD HAVE BEEN MUCH WORSE!!!!!!!

"He likes flour, brownie mix, Toblerone and went all the way to the back bedroom for a can of Pepsi!!! It took about 2 hours with a carpet cleaner to clean it up...grateful to have it!!! It ran away from me when I went outside. It came to the cat door Thursday night, trying again and again to get through."

Speaking to ABC News, Harder said he wasn't scared because he knew the bear was too large to get through the cat flap.

He added that a few seconds after taking the photo, the bear was gone.

In February, a Russian man filmed the moment he fed an enormous brown bear through his window.
He was seen leaving lumps of meat on the windowsill as the bear used its mouth and giant paws - and claws - to get the food.

The man even putting his hand out over the bear's paw, invoking fears that it could be bitten off at any given moment.
