Hiking the 2,660-mile Pacific Crest Trail in three minutes (video)
In May 2013, Mac from halfwayanywhere.com set out on an amazing adventure across America.
Mac set out to hike the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) on the US-Mexico border.
The mammoth trail is more than 2,660 miles long and generally takes approximately five months to be completed.

The footpath runs across the western United States, connecting Mexico City to Canada through California, Oregon and Washington.
As can be seen in the footage, this means Mac covered a wealth of fascinating and beautiful terrain during his travels, from snowy mountain caps to dusty soil tracks.
He passed through 25 national forests, seven national parks and 700 miles of the southern Californian desert, before he made his way into the Sierra Nevada. He then followed the Cascades north to Canada.
But Mac isn't the only one - each year a number of hopeful 'thru-hikers' take on the challenge in the hope of completing the whole trail.
Included on Mac's website is a whole host of information for those thinking about completing the PCT.
Mac himself decided to hike the lengthy trail after having spent his final year of college in Brazil and subsequently becoming less than enchanted with the reality of life in an office job in California.
