Mallorca is most popular holiday destination for 2015
The Spanish islands have seen a resurgence in popularity this summer it seems.
Research conducted by TravelSupermarket shows that Mallorca is the most popular destination for Brits this summer.
TravelSupermarket also showed that 68 per cent of searches were for short haul beach destinations with one in three planning a holiday to the Balearics, Spain or the Canary Islands.

Disneyland Paris was found to be the most popular choice with families looking to take some time off. While coastal party destinations such as Malia, Ayia Napa and Magaluf were the most popular destinations for group holidays.
The survey also shows that couples looking for a romantic getaway are heading to classic cities of love, including Venice, Rome and Paris.
Speaking of Spain's popularity, Bob Atkinson from TravelSupermarket says: "Year after year Brits go en masse to the country's resorts and cities, knowing it will deliver on sunny summer weather, great blue flag beaches, fantastic value for money and of course plenty of places to enjoy themselves. "The cost of living in Spain and other Eurozone destinations has also been slashed for holidaymakers this summer, with the strength of the pound making the continent even better value for money on arrival than in previous years."
