They will then make their way to warmer climes to spend some time soaking up the sun in Portugal before heading back to the UK, the Mirror reports.

Samantha Cameron's stepfather, Lord Astor, owns an estate on the Scottish island of Jura and it's where the residents of 10 Downing Street will be heading for some down time after returning from Portugal.

The House of Commons begins its summer recess tomorrow (Tuesday) and it will run until 7 September, giving the PM almost seven weeks to relax before returning to Westminster.

Parliament also has an annual Christmas recess which usually runs for around two weeks, from mid-December to early January.

According to the Daily Mail, the Cameron family have visited Cornwall six times since 2010.

The Cameron's youngest daughter Florence was born in the county while they were on holiday in 2010 and her middle name, Endellion, is the name of the local village St Endellion.

It seems the Camerons are also keen on Portugal with this summer's trip set to be their third visit in as many years.
