Simon Cowell's Rolls-Royce spotted in disabled bay
Multi-millionaire presenter and showbiz impresario Simon Cowell loves his cars. It's why he's got three Rolls-Royces, a Bentley, a Bugatti Veyron and many others in his £3 million collection.
However, it is his Rolls-Royce Phantom that has caused him to hit headlines this week, after it was spotted parked in a disabled by at a motorway service station.
Maintaining a low profile since the death of his mum Julie last week, Cowell let the chauffeur take the reigns on the way to her funeral. His chances of remaining under the radar were obliterated, however, when he wafted the enormous limousine into the restricted parking bay at Cobham services on the M25.
Cowell and his girlfriend Lauren Silverman, 37, headed into the services, the pair and their accompanying staff seemingly unnoticed by many other motorists. Simon came out bearing newspapers, while his accompanying assistant was carrying drinks.
A source who witnessed the event reported that "Simon's driver may have parked very briefly in the wrong place." Cobham Services cost £77 million to build and was only opened in 2012, so the signage is incredibly clear and should have been easily spotted.
As the celebrity X-factor judge might have said if he had realised his chauffeur had parked in the wrong place: "What the hell was that?"
