Plusnet has announced price rises for new and existing customers which will come into force from 2nd September.

The changes will impact line rental, call plans, postage and packaging, some individual call charges, international calls and early termination charges.

Plusnet has started emailing customers about the changes and sending letters to those who receive paper bills.

As you can see the biggest increase will be on monthly line rental and the Line Rental Saver option.

The cost of renewing or taking Line Rental Saver on or after 2nd September 2015 will move from £155.88 a year (equivalent to £12.99 a month) to £185.88 a year (equivalent to £15.49 a month).

Termination charges are also changing. These are incurred when you end your contract within the minimum term and are calculated according to the service and time remaining on your contract. You can see details of these on the Plusnet website.

What you can do

If you're in the middle of your contract and are impacted by the changes you can leave penalty free. You just need to contact Plusnet within 30 days of receiving notification and give 14 days' notice to leave.
