Premium Bond holders in Wales and Surrey have bagged the two £1 million prizes in July's draw.

The five £100,000 prizes went to holders in North Yorkshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Dorset and Manchester.

Is there a better bet than Premium Bonds?

The Premium Bond rate is currently set at 1.35% with the odds of each individual Bond number winning a prize at 26,000 to 1.

The chances of all bonds winning are the same, regardless of when or where they were bought.

Customers can visit NS&I's prize checker page to see whether they've won.

There is no time limit for claiming prizes but there are currently more than 1.1 million unclaimed Premium Bonds prizes across the UK, totally more than £49 million.

You can reduce your chances of having unclaimed prizes by registering to have prizes paid directly into your bank account.

Post Office no longer selling Premium Bonds

In other news, NS&I have confirmed that you won't be able to buy Premium Bonds from the Post Office from the end of this month.

Premium Bonds have been available from the Post Office since they were launched in 1956. You can learn more about this decision here.
