'Theobolds Grove': London train station accidentally renamed
London transport bosses have been left a little red-faced after accidentally renaming Theobalds Grove train station as Theobolds Grove thanks to an unfortunate spelling mistake.
Rail workers put up the sign on Sunday and, while Transport for London missed the spelling error, commuters didn't, reports the Independent.
One passenger snapped a picture of the sign going up and shared it on Flickr and Twitter.
Twitter user @diamondgeezer wrote: "At Theobalds Grove station, @LDNOverground contractors are currently installing signs WITH THE WRONG SPELLING."

Amused users retweeted the image of 200 times, and one joked: "There's a graphic designer awaiting a P45", while another laughed: "On the bright side, the stickers will probably peel off in an hour or two anyway."
Another user dubbed it a #sloppymistake. One even kindly pointed out it's not the first time the station has received the spelling mistake treatment.
@diamondgeezer@LDNOverground whoops. They are not, however, the first!.. https://t.co/QMvebP4mQU

Theobalds Grove in Waltham Cross, Hertfordshire, was getting new signs after becoming part of the London Overground network.
Speaking to the Standard, a Transport for London spokeswoman said: "We are aware that a small number of misspelt signs were put up for a short period of time at Theobalds Grove today.
"They have been removed and are being replaced with the correct signage."
