Jeremy Piven says British Airways held him 'hostage' for 7 hours
Jeremy Piven has said he was 'held hostage' by British Airways following a seven-hour delay on a flight from London to New York on Saturday.
The Mr Selfridge star was on the plane to New York when it was diverted to Philadelphia due to bad weather.
The flight was held on the runway for at least three hours before it was then cancelled.
The passengers then spent another three hours in a 'holding tank' until customs opened.
According to the Metro, Jeremy shared the experience on Twitter, writing: "Pilot refuses to fly to JFK here on British Airways. People are starting to panic.
"Holding us for a total of 7 hours on the ground when immigration opens – holding us all hostage."
He also joked he might reconsider flying with Virgin, and that everybody made the best of the situation:

According to the Mirror, a BA spokesman said: "We're very sorry for the delay to our customers' journey but safety is always our top priority.
"All of our customers are now on their way to their destinations."
