There were some serious rich-people-problems occurring at the McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas on Saturday ahead of the fight between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao.

Private planes were packed-in wing-to-wing just hours before the fight was scheduled to begin, reports ESPN.

A host of people tweeted pictures of the crazy scene, including LA sports anchor Liz Habib, reports Yahoo Sports.

Next to the image, she wrote: "Private Jets at Las Vegas airport!!! Wing to wing - airport closed now to private planes #MayPac."

Another user, Emilio Estefan, wrote: "Arrived in #LasVegas to a #SoldOut airport! Ready for the big fight tonight #MayweatherPacquiao #Boxing."

The BBC reports the Floyd Mayweather was victorious in the fight, beating Philippine rival Pacquiao via a "unanimous decision" at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Tickets for the fight - the most lucrative in history with the boxers splitting £150 million - changed hands for as much as $350,000 (£232,000) and American fans were charged almost $100 (£66) to watch on television, adds the site.

Celebrities spotted in the 16,507 crowd included actors Clint Eastwood and Robert De Niro, singers Sting and Prince, and US tycoon Donald Trump.

Actor Jamie Foxx also sang the American national anthem before the boxers entered the ring.
