Barbra Streisand's dog attacks flight attendant and leaves her 'needing stitches'
Barbra Steisand's dog has attacked a flight attendant and reportedly left her needing stitches.
The singer's beloved pet pooch, Samantha, is in the doghouse after biting the attendant on a private plane trip.
Streisand was flying from New York to Washington to lobby for the Women's Heart Alliance when the incident occurred.
The flight attendant was working on billionaire investor Ron Perelman's private jet when she decided to the pet Samantha, a 12-year-old Coton de Tulear
TMZ reports the bite was so bad the wound on her hand needed stitches.
Streisand's rep reportedly told Page Six: "This has never happened before and Barbra apologised profusely to the flight attendant."
Fans of Barbra who follow her on Instagram will know that she is extremely fond of Samantha, often posting pictures of the dog on her page.

Sammie was given to Barbra by her husband Jim Brolin, and has accompanied her on several tours.
According to the Daily Mail, back in 2013 Barbra said of Sammie: "She's the most beautiful thing you've ever seen. She's like the daughter I never had. She speaks English. She understands English I swear to God.'
"She'll come up to me and go 'mmm' it sounds like a baby. That means she wants water. Or she'll just look at me with those eyes and then she wants a treat. She always comes with us. I would never leave her."
