Where to see bluebells this Spring
Spring is in the air and the bluebells are about to transform England's wild and wooded areas into intense blue and mauve loveliness.
Want to find out where to go and admire them? We've got together with the National Trust to find the places and events where you can enjoy bluebells in all their glory. Take the beautiful grounds of Buckland Abbey in Devon, for example, where you can explore ancient woodland which dates back more than 700 years, or the meandering paths at the Blickling Estate in Norfolk, which is undoubtedly one of the best places to see bluebells in the country.
Wherever you are in the country, there'll be a place near you where you can go and admire these incredible displays. Do remember, though, that bluebells are a protected species so don't be tempted to pick them – take a photo instead.
Blooming dates bluebells vary depending on the weather, but you can usually expect to see them in April and May.
