Coronation Street star Michael Le Vell has this weekend visited a Pontins holiday park in Wales for a programme run by Cocaine Anonymous.

Michael was cleared of allegations of child abuse in court a year ago, and has since returned to his role as Kevin Webster on Coronation Street.

He has revealed alcohol and substance abuse problems, and receives ongoing treatment for addiction.

A source told The Sun: "Michael has been through hell since the child sex abuse allegations. He is totally clean and back on Corrie and doing great.

"He wanted to go to the group's convention to show his gratitude for the help they have given him and continue to give him."

While he's happy to be working on his problems, he also mentioned that the beds weren't too comfortable.

He tweeted: "Morning all, my bed here at Pontins is like a concrete window sill I've had about 3 minutes sleep."

According to the Mirror, Le Vell has reached his six-month sobriety mark and described the convention in Wales as "very humbling".
