Two passenger trains collide in Switzerland
Five people have been injured after two trains collided in northern Switzerland.
The collision between a commuter train and a long-distance train happened in Rafz, north of Zurich near the German border.
The fast trainwas travelling from Zurich to Schaffhausen and the commuter service from Rafz to Schaffhause. The two collided at a switch outside the station, with one hitting the other side on.
One of the trains then derailed, police said. Five people were injured, one of them seriously.
Other reports, meanwhile, have suggested there were dozens more injured, with the Daily Mail suggesting at least 50 people were hurt.
Photos from the scene showed carriages that had been knocked off the tracks, but not overturned. Witnesses said the faster train hit the commuter train from behind.
One passenger said the commuter train had been pulling out of the station when the driver braked suddenly.
He told Sky News: "An express train from Zurich came up from behind and hit the side of our train - the intercity train derailed."
He added that passengers had been evacuated quickly and that both trains were "quite damaged".
According to ABC News, it wasn't immediately clear what exactly caused the accident.
