Andy Murray's hotel has reportedly received a boost in bookings after it was revealed as the venue for the tennis star's wedding to Kim Sears this coming April.

It is believed the 27-year-old will wed Kim at his luxury Cromlix House Hotel near his hometown of Dunblaine on 11 April.

Described as the 'royal wedding' of Scotland, it is thought other brides are now wanting the same slice of luxury for their Big Day.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, a source said: "There is still some availability at Cromlix into September but it's going fast.

"Interest has really rocketed since Andy announced he was getting married there."

Andy bought Cromlix House Hotel, a Victorian mansion set in 34 acres, in February 2013 for £2 million.

The 15-bedroom hotel has been renovated to show off much of the building's original heritage, including its own private chapel and loch.

The accommodation features 10 bedrooms and five suites which overlook manicured grounds and tennis courts.

It also boasts a restaurant called Chez Roux, overseen by legendary French chef Albert Roux and run by executive head chef Darin Campbell.

Back in April 2014, the establishment landed the Scottish Hotel of the Year gong at the 2014 Scottish Hotel Awards.

Judges' chairman Gary McLean-Quin defended the choice against some criticism that it happened too soon after opening, telling the Daily Telegraph: "Hotels often have sizeable sums of money spent on them but that's only half the battle.

"What impressed us, and specifically enabled this award, was the involvement of award-winning management and individuals in every department – people of excellence we've known for a decade.

"The result is no less than a national treasure."
