Video: Bikers shut down motorway to rescue dog

A group of bikers in Brazil caused havoc when they stopped traffic on a busy highway in order to save a dog.

The heroic moment the bikers shut down the five-lane motorway to rescue the terrified stray was captured on a helmet cam.

The riders used their bikes to create a wall in order to slow traafic to the halt to prevent the small dog from getting knocked down.

One biker directs traffic on slip-road joining the BR-050 highway while the others scramble to catch the petrified animal.

Eventually one of the bikers manages to catch the dog and he is taken safely away from the scene.

The incident happened in the São Bernardo do Campo area of Sao Paulo, according to the Telegraph.
