Police hunting man who stabbed woman with needle at train station
Police are searching for a thug who stabbed a woman's arm with a needle outside Birmingham New Street train station on Christmas Eve.
British Transport Police want to talk to the man pictured after the incident which saw the woman's arm punctured.
The incident happened in Stephenson Street, at around 8.30am on 24 December.
PC Don Whyte said: "The 22-year-old victim had just left the station, when a man walking past her stabbed her in the arm with what appeared to be a needle.
"He then walked off hurriedly, leaving his victim with a small puncture wound. Understandably, the woman was extremely distressed by this incident."
As part of their investigation officers have reviewed CCTV footage from the station.
PC Whyte said: "I believe the man in the images we are issuing today has important information about this incident.
"Do you know him? Did you see him in the area on Christmas Eve? Please contact BTP."
