This ostrich got into a real a flap when it was chased by a baby elephant.
The mischievous elephant calf ran after the bird while the herd were grazing in the Addo Elephant National Park in South Africa.
Photographer Jean du Plessis, 65, caught the unusual incident on camera as the youngster noticed the ostrich nearby and decided to give chase.
The youngster's mother was forced to run after her offspring as he stormed off across the grassland.
The little one soon gave up after he realised he could not match the speed of the long-legged bird.
Spooked by the encounter, the elephant herd disappeared into the trees.
Jean said: "It was quite funny to see this happening.
"It was the first time that I've seen anything like it."
