Infiniti Q70 price and specs revealed
Japanese luxury marque Infiniti has unveiled full price and specification details for its facelifted Q70 executive saloon. The model, which is now on sale in UK dealerships, starts from £32,650, rising to £44,100.
Formerly known as the Infiniti M35, this large saloon was re-christened as part of the company's wholesale model rebranding last year. The Q70 hopes to entice buyers away from the established European competition, namely the BMW 5 Series and Mercedes E-Class, with its updated range of engines and technology.
Three models are available, the most popular of which is likely to be the new 2.2-litre diesel, which replaces the outgoing 3.0-litre diesel model. It boasts 168bhp, and crucially emits lower CO2 than the old motor, at 129g/km. This is likely to make the model more attractive to company car users, though rivals such as the Audi A6 Ultra perform better, emitting as little as 117g/km.
Two petrol options are also offered: a 3.7-litre V6 developing 316bhp and a 3.5-litre V6 hybrid, which puts out 359bhp, and which Infiniti claims emits 145g/km of CO2, despite taking just 5.3 seconds to cover the benchmark 0-62mph sprint.
Customers will have the choice of four trim levels: Premium, Premium Tech, Sport and Sport Tech. All come fitted as standard with LED lights and parking sensors front and rear, a rear view camera, heated and air-conditioned leather seats, 18-inch alloy wheels and sat nav.
Sport models add larger 20-inch alloys and uprated brakes, as well as a re-profiled front bumper for a more aggressive look.
Opt for the Tech versions of either trim level and your Q70 will be decked out with desirable toys such as adaptive cruise control, an upgraded audio system, lane departure and blind-spot warning systems and Nissan's (Infiniti's parent company) 360-degree 'Around-View' monitor, which gives a bird's-eye view of the car.
