Penis-shaped cloud gets locals giggling in Wales
Locals in a small town in Wales had a giggle when they woke up to a cloud looking suspiciously like a penis looming in the sky above.
The huge cloud drifted over homes in Port Talbot, and a few residents shared their pictures on the local community Facebook page, Porthcawl First .
One local, Victoria Williams, posted the image above and wrote: "Opened my curtains to see this."
According to the Mirror, the cloud was created by 'discharge' from local steelworks company Tata Steel.
The cloud was created at around 9.30am on Saturday, and a Tata Steel spokesman explained that it was a reaction from the rapid cooling of iron following the process known as plating.
Speaking to Wales Online, the Tata spokesman added that as the iron from a blast furnace was moved from one vessel to another as part of the plating process, the rapid cooling caused the reaction, which he said was not expected, but was managed according to established procedures.
The Metro reports that some people claimed they heard a loud bang at the steel works before noticing a chemical smell.
And then the 'penis cloud' appeared in the sky above them. While some people expressed concern, many had a chuckle over the rude-looking temporary feature.
