Is this the world's most luxurious cruise cabin?

A new cruise cabin suite is being heralded as the most luxurious cabin ever - being the size of a townhouse and costing £3,000 per night.

The Regent Seven Seas new cruise ship, the Regent Seven Seas Explorer, is to set sail in 2016, and boasts the largest cruise suite ever at 3,875 square feet - bigger than many London flats.

According to the Daily Mail, the Regent Suite will also set you back the best part of a house deposit, too, at £42,799 per person for a 14-night trip from Monte Carlo to Venice.

So what are you paying for? The suite boasts an in-room sauna and spa, in-room spa treatments, a custom-made grand piano, two sumptuous bedrooms, a living room, all food and drink, and excursions with private transport. An outdoor garden also allows for private scenic views.

CEO Jason Montague said: "There is nothing like the Regent Suite anywhere in the cruise industry. It is a new category of luxury suite specifically designed for the Explorer."

According to the NY Daily News, the luxury theme continues throughout the whole of the rest of the ship, which, at $450 million, is the most expensive luxury boat ever built.

The 750-passenger ship will have three dining rooms, and a 694-person theatre, and has been described by Regent Cruises as 'the most luxurious cruise ship ever built."

The Explorer will make its debut 14-day voyage from Monte Carlo to Venice on 20 July 2016.
