Prince Andrew buys £13 million ski chalet in Verbier
Prince Andrew and ex-wife Fergie have reportedly bought a ski chalet in upmarket Swiss resort Verbier for up to £13 million.
The Duke and Duchess of York purchased the property three weeks ago, according to the Daily Mirror.
The chalet boasts seven bedrooms, an indoor swimming pool, a sauna and six permanent staff.
A source told the Daily Mail that the divorced couple took out a joint mortgage on the ski lodge.
The source said: "They have bought the chalet as a family investment. Neither of them have their own property and wanted to buy the chalet as an asset to leave to their children.
"They holiday in Verbier several times each year as all the family are keen skiers and it makes sense to have their own place there."
Andrew and Fergie were believed to be staying at the chalet when the prince was hit with claims that he had sex with an underage girl.
The pair were skiing with their youngest daughter Eugenie at the time. Prince Andrew returned home to the UK on Monday, while Fergie stayed at the ski lodge and was later seen with friends, including Cressida Bonas.
The chalet is set in one of the most exclusive areas of Verbier, with the couple's neighbours including Sir Richard Branson and James Blunt.
