A Swedish Island, once owned by Tiger Woods, has hit the market. This incredible private island is just an hour away from the Swedish capital, but offers a chance for the well-heeled to get away from it all - and take their golf clubs and horses with them too.

The Island, in Lake Mälaren, was owned by Woods and his ex-wife Elin Nordegren. During their marriage, it was a getaway near Nordegren's childhood home in Stockholm. It has its own landing strip, quay and private ferry, so they could easily get to all the attractions of a capital city, and yet nobody could intrude on their seclusion.

Sadly, since the couple split in 2010, it seems that neither of the pair have any need for it, so the island is up for sale.

It is an astonishing home. Nestling into the 62-acres of beautiful countryside is a huge main villa, built from wood cut from trees on the island, with its own spa, outdoor pool, and stables. Beside it is a golf practice space, with six tee-off areas.

Elsewhere on the island is a historic Viking hill fort, and acres of beautiful scenery. The lake itself warms to 26 degrees in the summer, so is perfect for swimmers.

There also are a handful of other buildings on the island - including a hunting lodge with its own private wine cellar.

The agent is not disclosing the price - as it remains a secret that only the most serious - and deep-pocketed - buyers will be privy to.

Take a look around the property.
