World's worst train fare-dodger caught on CCTV in epic faceplant
A man has earned himself the title of the world's worst train fare-dodger after being caught on CCTV attempting to jump a 1ft-high barrier - and totally failing.
Zossima Sozonov is seen approaching the gate at Klovsk metro station, which closes in front of him.
Rather than paying for a ticket, he decides to jump over it, but doesn't clear the 12-inch jump and falls flat on his face instead, knocking himself out. What's more, it's all done right in front of the ticket inspector.
Kiev metro operator spokesman Leo Aksakov told Euro News: "We don't make the barriers very high because we hope that people will respect the need to pay for the service, and it's more of a symbolic gesture just to remind people more than anything else.
"But it seems that even a symbolic gesture was too much for this man, who we hope will think twice before attempting to avoid buying a ticket, and serve as a warning to others."
According to the Mirror, the man was unconscious for around 10 seconds and was left with a bloodied face - as well as bruised ego.
