The Shard's Shangri-La voted world's worst luxury hotel of 2014
The luxury Shangri-La on The Shard's 34th to 52nd floors has been voted the worst hotel opening of 2014.
Why? The fact a design flaw meant guests could see into other guests' rooms, witnessing "unpleasant" sights, left some feeling a little dissatisfied.
The best and worst hotels list of 2014 hotel openings has been compiled by global members organisation, Luxury Travel Intelligence (LTI).
And London hotels took the top spots in both lists, reports the Daily Mail.
The best hotel opening of 2014 came out as the Beaumont in Mayfair, which was described as "perfect", and was opened by the dining entrepreneurs, Chris Corbin and Jeremy King, famed for their establishment like The Wolseley.
And there was good news for Andy Murray, too. His Cromlix House Hotel took the 10th place in the world's best new hotel openings of 2014 list, and was praised for its country atmosphere and charming local staff.
