Amazon Cyber Monday: discounts and deals
Cyber Monday could be bigger than Black Friday. In recent years it has seen more shoppers, snapping up more bargains. As the biggest online retailer - with four years of Cyber Monday under its belt in the UK - Amazon is the undisputed king of Cyber Monday, and it has some great deals and discounts on offer.
Cyber Monday is a newer sales phenomenon than Black Friday. It started in 2005 and is used to describe the day when Americans go back to work after Thanksgiving and have a bit of peace and quiet in which to do their online shopping. Since 2010 Amazon has been running deals in the UK too.
Despite being newer than Black Friday there are far more people who shop today than Black Friday - and they spend more. In fact the experts reckon that 6 million people will spend £649 million today - so there are some great bargains to be had.

Amazon deals
There's a deal running all day on the site, offering a range of discounts on ScanDisk Memory. This includes, for example a 64 GM Wireless Flash Drive, reduced from £120.40 to £49.99.
There is also a range of discounts across the site, from up to 50% off toys to up to 70% off fragrances, and up to 75% off Kindle Books. Day-long bargains include An Amazon Fire Phone 32GB reduced from £399 to £249. Other heavy discounts range from Beyonce Heat Eau de Parfum for Women, reduced from £39 to £11.65, to a Swordfish 'diamond cut' paper shredder down from £139.14 to £39.99.
The rest of the bargains kick off at 8am, with products released every ten minutes throughout the day. And in case one day isn't enough for you to bag all the bargains you're after, they'll be releasing more for the rest of the week too.
The full details of the bargains aren't going to be released until each lightning deal hits, but you can see a list of the forthcoming items on the site. These include a range of clothes and jewellery, guitars, DVDs and Blu Rays, an Orla Keily handbag, Ben Sherman men's watch, Sennheiser headphones, Ultimate Ears Mini Boom speaker, Logitech ultimate remote control and a Nextbase Twin Screen 9-inch Portable DVD Player - among a huge number of other items.

As with Black Friday, the deals will go live for a few hours, or until they run out of stock - whichever is soonest. It means that it's worth bookmarking the Cyber Monday page and popping back on whenever you get a spare second to check out the available deals.
