With Christmas well and truly on its way, it's time to give yourself a few freebies. This week we have snacks, calendars, hand cream and some Amex credit. And if you're in a seasonal mood and want to shop for your friends and family, we also have free parking to make the Christmasshopping process marginally less painful.

Free Popchips
The users of HotUKdeals.com have discovered that Boots is giving away free Popchips. You just need to fill in your details on the online form, print it off, and take it to a branch of Boots within a week of printing it (and before 5 December). The deal is to celebrate Movember, but there's no requirement to prove facial hair at the time of purchase.

Free calendar
O2 Priority Moments is offering its customers a free 2015 calendar from WH Smiths. You'll need to have an O2 phone (a pay as you go SIM is enough), and you'll have to download the app. Then you can search for the deal, and show the code on your smartphone at a WHSmith store (although not one of the ones in stations, airports and service stations). The deal runs until Sunday, but they are likely to run out sooner rather than later, so it's worth getting yours as soon as possible.

Free parking
One enterprising user of HotUKdeals.com is putting together a list of all the councils offering free parking in the run-up to Christmas. The list so far is here, and includes the details of freebies in Hartlepool, Ennis, Cirencester, Nantwich, Sunderland, Macclesfield, Stockport, Uttlesford, Halifax, Neath Port Talbot, South Shields, Scarborough, Ashford, Tenterden, Blackpool, Dunstable, Helston, Carlisle, Westbury, Leigh, Weymouth, Burnham-on-Sea, Droitwich, Diss, Dungannon, Exeter, Huddersfield, Dewsbury, Holmfirth, Wirall and the London Borough of Hillingdon.

Free Amex credit
If you have an American Express Card and you're passing through Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Manchester or Edinburgh airports before 31 January, then with a bit of effort you can get some free credit when you shop at some of the stores in the terminal.

You'll need to sync up your card with foursquare before you go, then when you're at the airport, do a location search, find the deal you want to take advantage of, then click 'add to card'. Then when you use your Amex card you'll get money added to your account. This includes £10 when you spend £65 at the Duty Free shop, £10 when you spend £30 at Dixons and Sunglasses Hut and £5 when you spend £10 at Caffe Nero or WH Smith.

Free hand cream
If you buy Tatler before 3 December, you'll get a free 500ml Cowshed Cow Pat Moisturising Hand Cream with it. Tatler isn't everyone's cup of tea, but given that the magazine costs £4.30 and the cream is worth £8, it's a decent saving even if you chuck the magazine away.
