Dual carriageway speed limit dropped to reduce pollution

A reduced 60mph speed limit for a new section of dual carriageway in Cheshire has been approved by the transport secretary in attempt to reduce air pollution – the first time pollution levels have been used as the reason for dropping the speed limit, rather than claims of improving road safety.
