Two people were bitten by sharks off New Smyrna Beach in Florida within 30 minutes of each other on Sunday.

A 15-year-old boy was bitten at around 11am while surfing. According to ABC, the shark bit his right foot about 100 yards from shore. Luckily he made it back to the beach.

At 11:30am, about a mile south of where the first bite was reported, a 29-year-old man was also bitten on the foot.

Both of the victims were taken to Bert Fish Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, reports Wesh.com.

According to CNN, more attacks take place off the Florida coast than in all of the other states combined.
