All-inclusive resorts are perfect if you're looking for a stress-free getaway without the worries of where to eat or how to keep the kids entertained.

An all-inclusive holiday also means you can indulge in as much or as little as you like and although they may look more expensive, all-inclusive holidays are most often cheaper alternatives to self-catering holidays as they allow you to pay for everything, from the flights to your drinks by pool, in one package - without the unexpected extras.

While what is included varies between hotels, most will offer meals, drinks, entertainment and sports - some will even throw in excursions and spa treatments.

All-inclusive holidays are ideal for families, couples or groups. They're sociable holidays and come in different shapes and sizes, such as adults-only, five-star and affordable.

Sandals, Club Med and Iberostar offer some of the most popular all-inclusive resorts, but many smaller and more unusual hotels offer the everything-included breaks too, such as Adler Mountain Lodge in the Dolomites and Mustang Monument Wild Horse Eco Resort in Nevada.

But if you're looking for tropical sunshine, an array of swimming pools and more restaurants than you can sample in one week, you'll want to check out some of the world's biggest and best all-inclusive resorts, from Lanzarote to Mexico.
