A helicopter was spotted carrying a car over London yesterday evening.

The 'flying car' was seen travelling along the route of the Thames shortly after 7pm.

Londoners immediately took to Twitter to discuss the bizarre sight.

Turns out it was just a very eye-catching advertising campaign for Jaguar.

The mid-air stunt forms part of the world premiere of the £30,000 car which will be-staged in the capital today, reports the Mirror.

That's one way to create some buzz around a new launch.

According to the Telegraph, British artists including singer song-writer Emeli Sandé, designer Stella McCartney and 'Mandela' and 'The Wire' actor Idris Elba will all feature in the launch programme.
Pop performers the Kaiser Chiefs and Eliza Doolittle are also set to play.
