Then you're in luck - because English Heritage is allowing visitors to climb to the top of Kenilworth Castle in Warwickshire for the first time in 350 years, thanks to an ingenious series of platforms installed within the building.

The viewing platforms will reveal historic views once enjoyed by Queen Elizabeth I, allowing you to really step back in time.

To mark the occasion, English Heritage has compiled a list of top ten historical beautiful views from throughout the ages.

From medieval ruins to castle towers built to boast power and prestige, these historic buildings have long been built to provide grand panoramas.
